In the 1800s, many people came to South Australia through a form of assisted passage. Who were those people, and what did it involve? In today’s video, we explore the important decision to leave home by Welshman, Harry Williams. In the next instalment, we’ll take you onto the ship with Harry to reveal what life on board was really like. Follow the journey of Harry Williams as he decides to leave his English home to journey to South Australia as a Free Emigrant.
