Day of Democracy

Join the History Trust of South Australia, Parliament of South Australia and leading civic and citizenship organisations to learn more about the three levels of government in Australia and how to support active citizenship in the classroom. 

When: Monday 22 April 2024 

Location: Centre of Democracy & Parliament of South Australia 

Duration: 5.5 hours 

You will learn about: 

  • What local government is, what it does, and how to get started teaching it in the classroom 
  • State government & Parliament  
  • Federal Parliament from the Parliamentary Education Office 

Meet and talk to leading South Australian civics and citizenship organisations and receive practical tips and resources to get started. Enjoy morning tea and a light lunch
