Join the History Trust of South Australia, Parliament of South Australia and the Electoral Commission of South Australia to learn more about your state and local levels of government, and how to support active citizenship in the classroom.

You will learn about: 

  • what local government is, what it does, and how to get started teaching it in the classroom
  • the responsibilities of state government & Parliament, with practical lesson ideas
  • the role of the Electoral Commission of SA in ensuring free and fair democratic elections, and how to facilitate a mock election in school

Tickets are $45 and include an exclusive private curator-led tour of the Centre of Democracy and fun activities to support civic participation. Includes morning tea and a light lunch, plus take-away teaching resources.
