Lesson six in the Local Government Teaching and Learning Unit. In this lesson, students will take time to reflect on their learning before getting active in their local community. The Council Meeting: Local Government Teaching and Learning Unit

Lesson five in the Local Government Teaching and Learning Unit. In this lesson, students will take part in a mock council meeting. Each student will have an opportunity to contribute in some way: the mayor will run the meeting, the governance officer will record the minutes, the community members will give deputations, the councillors will discuss and vote on the agenda issues, and the staff will contribute their documented findings.
